The Guardians are the main, and only, enemies in the game Journey. They appear as stage hazards in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
In The Tunnels and The Mountain areas the player encounters flying monsters known as Guardians. They are mechanical in nature and will attack hurt the Traveler if the player is caught in their spotlight. According to The Art of Journey, Guardians are Cloth Wales that have been encased in stone, probably for war purposes. If a Guardian catches the player, it will tear your scarf by diving quickly at you. Guardians can be avoided if you manuever around the area properly (if you manage to avoid them in the Tunnels level, you will earn the Trials trophy).
Connection with All-StarsEdit
One of the Guardians will appear as a stage hazard in the Journey stage. They will rise from the ground and start flying around in the background. After attacking the opponents it suddenly gets hit itself by some Hawks that start appearing on the stage. The Guardians is defeated and drops dead on the ground. The dead Guardian will remain on the ground for the rest of the battle.
Guardians only have one ability they can use as a hazard, and in the original game. They then put on their spotlight and search for a fighter to attack. When the light sees an opponent it locks on that spot and storms into that part of the stage.
